Having some extra time today to read, I search through Seth Godin’s blog. I’ve been keeping up to date since I subscribed last month and I was curious to see what he wrote earlier on his blog.
Seth Godin used an illustration that caught my eye:
Your blog could be like a newspaper (written by a staff)
or it could be like a book (written by an author)The point is not to show up on a list, the point is to start a conversation that spreads, to share ideas and to chronicle your thinking.
That’s how I view this blog right now: a ‘written photograph’ of my thoughts. It’ll change through time as I can more life experience and learn from others. I also want it to eventually become a place to exchange ideas with one another.
This blog is very different from my other one, as this is an overview of me versus just my thoughts on personal finance. One my personal finance blog, I have to make sure I stay on topic most of the time. I’d hate to irritate readers who subscribe who want personal finance information and stories. The good thing is whatever I post here won’t be off topic. :)
